I lost interest in major league baseball after the 1993 strike. This strike forever ended the notion that major baseball was about the game, and not the money. Personally I think it damaged the game beyond repair. Today, I have a passive interest in the Philles and Orioles; but my main sport now is Nascar. I have been a Nascar Fan since the late 1960s, and the Richard Petty era. So when baseball screwed up it was a natural transition for me to switch back to Nascar. I am concerned, however, that Nascar is beginning to make some of the same mistakes that lead to the down turn for major league baseball.
In my opinion, major league baseball began going down hill with the free agent ruling in the early 1970s. The addition of the DH rule in 1973 caused a split both in leagues, and fans. Personally, I do not like the DH rule because it takes away too much strategy from the game. As such, I am a traditionalist that favors the National League. To me, the American League plays that other game. I am not sure what it is; but, its sure not baseball to me.

Jay
Owner of Cichlids Are Special and this Blog

Why are African Cichlids special

Despite being a freshwater fish, they offer colors equivalent to some salt water fish without requiring the extra care that salt water fish require. African Cichlids are smart. They often recognize their owners, and will race to the front of the tank to great them. Community tank cichlids develop a social totem pole. As a result, their interactions between each other are constantly changing, making them exciting to watch. African Cichlids come in many different shapes, sizes, and colors. This gives their owners endless possibilities of choices for creating interesting community aquarium tanks.

To purchase African Cichlids from Lake Malawi, Lake Tanganyika, or the Lake Victoria basin, please click on the following link: www.cichlidsarespecial.com
